| RMTA at Blair Academy - Resident Camp |
Our camp is stimulating... exciting... designed to accomodate serious, dedicated tennis players and the relaxed but no less keen "social" players. We have years of experience running such camps and are committed to building the complete player through emphasis on the fundamentals, footwork, drills and competition and by optimizing each player's physical conditioning -- never forgetting that summer camp should be fun... a happy experience that will foster a love of this game that lasts a lifetime!! It is a well-rounded camping program, with several other sports and activities to supplement the tennis RMTA has planned an action packed summer for you!
is a co-educational boarding school in New Jersey and the site of our summer camp. Located but an hour's drive from New York City, Blair offers a lush setting among 315 hilltop acres in a peaceful, rural environment, abundant with prospects for outdoor adventures. Founded in 1848 it was entered in 1992 onto the National Register of Historic Places in recognition of its historic and architectural significance.
At camp all players are grouped by ability and age and will get a minimum of 5 hours of training a day. Our excellent staff of experienced teaching and playing pros and enthusiastic, motivated counselors are all exceptional tennis players in their own right. They are fully trained and experienced in providing supervision and overall support for all aspects of life at camp - both on and off the tennis court.
Only about an hour's drive from New York City!! 60 miles west on Interstate 80 and then 5 miles north and you're there! No hassles over airlines and airports.
And as always, we continue offering:

- Daily group instruction: stroke mechanics, consistency drills and conditioning.
- Strategy and Chalktalk sessions for beginners through advanced players.
- "Z" Group (optional) for Special intensive pre-tournament training for players who have qualified for Zonals, Intersectionals and Nationals.
